it is perfect business to achieve my lifestyle

To me, the most important reason I personally prefer share than property is I will treat share investing as serious business and it is perfect business to achieve my lifestyle.

To me, it has several advantages over property and traditional business:

1.No staff: a lot of self employees never able to turn into their self-employee job into business model because they don’t know how to manage people. Property investors never able to build up solid property investment portfolio without the help of the team. There is no staff in share investing.

2.No customers: traditional business needs the customers to survive and make profit but it also comes with a lot of customer issues business owner need to deal with. Property investor also needs to deal with tenants and property manager for rental property. There is no customers you need to deal with in the market.

3.Not much time required: people won’t be surprised traditional business require business owner spend 8-12 hour a day on his business. Active property investor also need to spend a lot of time on property project, such as renovation, sub-division, strata title or development. It will take share investor 5-10 mins per month only, generally speaking.

4.No competitors: traditional business always needs to fight with competitors and their biggest fear is price wall or copycat. Property investors need to find the great property and always need to bid higher for another seller. Sydney property buyer definitely knows what I am taking about. But to me, there is no copycat or competitors in the market. I never mind people copy my investment stocks or outbid my price in the market because the market is too big and won’t affect my price at all.

5.Low start-up costs: people can start their share investing $10k but they are hardly likely to start property investing with less than $50K

6.Low overheads: you need solicitor to go through property contract, you need mortgage broker to apply for mortgagee for you, you need property manger to manage your property. You need real estate agent to sell your property and pay for them commission and marketing expenses. You simply need the laptop with Internet and you are ready to go on share investing.

7.100% portable: property investor always know location, location, location. Everybody want to buy A grade property but the reality is “unaffordable”, “unaffordable”, “unaffordable” for majority people and rent is always negative gear. Property investor also cannot manage their investment property well if they are not in the same country. That is why not many Australia property investor is able to invest in oversea. But you can invest in any international share online anywhere you want and create the same amount of income. It is so amazing empower you not tied to going into an office in the city or living in the expensive suburb you can barely afford. With same amount of income no matter where you are, it give you the choice to live in outer suburb with bigger house, more space and “smaller” mortgagee.

Those are the 7 majors reason I invest in share to give me the lifestyle I want. It is not all about how much money but what lifestyle you want.
